The new fund-raising committee has kicked off their first project. The club is selling World's Finest Chocolate Bars for $1 to raise money for the equipment fund. The equipment fund helps us repair and replace our training equipment.
If you work at or go to places that people would be willing to purchase candy bars for $1 each, just see Deborah Sazma on a training night and she can get you a box to sell. You can take as long as you like sell the box and if you can't sell the whole box, bring what you can't sell back and we can finish selling it for you.
Candy bars will be at the registration table for you to buy as a snack on training nights. You could also buy a few bars to use as stocking stuffers. Select from milk chocolate, rice crispy, caramel, almond or dark chocolate.
Calling all members and aspiring members!
A new fund-raising committee is being formed. Different fund-raising events will benefit different aspects of the club. Right now, we are seeing a need for some new equipment (some now and some in the future). This committee will be generating new ideas on what kind of fund-raisers to do, distributing fund-raising information and encouraging members and students to participate, etc. To everyone who serves on a committee and/or joins a new or existing one, we appreciate your support for our club. The more people we have working together, the more we will all get out of being part of the club. Committee work helps you build new connections and relationships with fellow members and students.
If you are interested, please contact Deborah Sazma via e-mail. prettyeyes913@sbcglobal.net
If you can't join the committee, please keep your ears and eyes open for what this new committee comes up with so you can take part in the event or activity.
